Protein Packed Pouches

Each pouch contains heart healthy seafood for a truly nutritious meal. All the seafood found in these pouches have been wild caught by American fishermen from sustainable fisheries.

The West Coast Cioppino and Pacific Seafood Bisque contain Pacific pink shrimp caught off Oregon’s shores. This shrimp is listed on Monterey Bay Aquarium’s Seafood Watch list as a Best Choice item for the minimal environmental impact caused by fishing for this shellfish.

The Thai curry pouches contain albacore tuna that have been caught by American fishermen in the Pacific Northwest. Every fish is troll caught from sustainable fisheries and processed by hand at ice-cold temperatures to retain the nutritious value in the fish. Each curry pouch contains 22 grams of protein and lots of heart healthy Omega-3s.

Here are some additional articles about the health benefits of Alaskan caught Sockeye Salmon and research into concerns about radiation and mercury levels.

Radiation Concerns Dispelled

GMO FreeGMO

There is a growing concern over genetically modified organisms (GMOs) appearing in food. A growing body of evidence connects GMOs with health problems, environmental damage and violation of farmers’ and consumers’ rights. Sea Fare Pacific has gone to great lengths to ensure that these soups and sauces contain only GMO-free ingredients.

Gluten FreeGluten-Free

All seafood is naturally free of gluten. Each ingredient in these pouches has been carefully chosen and are gluten free. Our processing and packaging facility is not certified but we do perform our own testing on a regular basis. Nothing with gluten enters the facility and all equipment is washed down and sanitized after processing. View the report

Wild – Not FarmedWild-Caught

Oregon Seafoods only processes U.S. wild caught seafood. We are not in favor of genetically modified fish or farm raised fish that have been fed GMO or hormone enhanced feeds. We believe in sustainable fishing practices harvesting only wild, natural, healthy fish.

High Omega3Omega

North Pacific caught albacore tuna and Alaskan caught salmon are some of the highest rich omega-3 fish you can eat. These young fish have a high oil content to provide the essential oils needed for a healthy lifestyle. More information and links coming soon.

All of our albacore tuna are troll caught one at a time off the US West Coast. They are caught by small family owned fishing boats pulling jigs behind the boat. The albacore bite the jigs and the fishermen pull them in. It is the safest way to catch albacore tuna without affecting other ocean species. We do not support fishing practices that affect and kill other fish species.

SustainableSustain

The West Coast albacore fishery has been found sustainable by several agencies. The tuna we process can be found at the top of Monterey Bay Aquarium’s Seafood Watch’s Super Green list as a Best Choice. It is a highly recommended fish to eat due to its sustainability and nutritious value. The Alaskan Red Sockeye Salmon, a Best of the Best Choice, we process for our soups comes from Alaskan fisheries that are aggressively managed for health and sustainability.

What is Cioppino?

Originating in San Francisco, Cioppino is believed to have been developed in the late 1800’s by fishermen who would take leftover seafood from incoming boats and create a delicious seafood stew. Italian restaurants in San Francisco quickly caught on and started serving this tomato based soup using leftovers from the catch of the day.

Inspired by its unique story and flavor, Sea Fare Pacific has made Cioppino its own by intentionally using sustainable seafood species as the choice seafood protein: albacore tuna, clams and Pacific pink shrimp. While we would agree that San Francisco is the place to go for the best Cioppino, Sea Fare believes their version takes a close second bringing a taste of the Bay Area straight to your home.
